The JIL Toronto 1 - First Service celebrated their Thanksgiving at JIL Praise Valley Canada Campsite after their Apple Picking Outdoor Activity at Cricklewood Farm, Belleville, October 13, 2008.

There were 86 Adults and 9 Kiddoz and 1 Baby who joined together in the most joyous activity-the "Operation Clean-Up"!

We ended our fellowship at 4:10pm with a Word from God: "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! ......know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." - 1 Cor. 15:57-58

We give thanks to God:
- for the partnership shared to us by the Valdeabella & Flancia Group! May the Lord bless them and continue to manifest His excellency towards them.
- for the life of Mr. Gerald Bolton, the owner of the Transtario Tours for providing us a huge 60 seater Couch! We have seen the gladness of our brothers, sisters, nanays and kidz as they hopped inside! (A divinely special favor from God, we had experienced as we give thanks to God!).
- for the lives of our school bus driver, Chris who had just arrived in Canada 9 months ago to join his wife. And a special thanks to God also for Ron, the Couch driver whom God had touched his heart to drive the JIL children of God. He just had his long trip from New Jersey that morning and did not even had a single sleep...we love you Ron, with the love of God!
- for the lives of all the first timers who joined us, not only to pick apples, clean fallen leaves, but with acceptance in their heart declaring Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

We thank God in a very special way! He is a loving and an answering God! Praise the Lord! All the Glory as we worship His Majesty belongs to Him alone!

I was on a Bible Study last Sunday and it so happened that before our fellowship starts, there was on t.v. our Rev. Sis. Dory. I asked the owner of the place if it is a video tape or dvd and she said, "no it is on t.v.". Rogers Cable is promoting here in Canada the "646 channel" the GMA and the promotion ends Sep. 24, 2008.

The event was the 30 hours "Praise and Worship" last Sep. 6, 2008 in preparation for the JIL Manila's 30th Anniversary. It so happened that I had my video camera and took a shot of it....

What a wonderful creation of God! Through media, we can share the passion of God to the whole world.

"GREATER CONQUEST"

June 2008 marked the beginning of "greater conquest" for the JIL Toronto 1 (1st Service):

1) The opening of the JIL Toronto West (Lawrence/Keele) under the leaderships of Ptr. Nelson/Sis. Elsa Maiquez and Bro. Aldy/Sis. Debs Rillera;
2) and the joining of the new sets of leaderships for the 1st service, the Flancia Group, the Valdeabella Group and the Ocampo Group.

At present, the JIL Toronto 1 has 137 regular members.

Multiplication is unstoppable! God continue to draw all men unto Him! (John 12:32)

What an awesome God we have!

Saturday, 7:00 a.m. as delegates from Toronto 1 & 2 Churches getting ready to go to the promised JIL Praise Valley Canada Campsite, the 3 yellow busses were filled with the people of God in uniform: The Cari Group in Orange or Amber Color–symbolizes Christ as the Glory of God (Ezekiel 1:28; 2 Cor. 4:6; Rev. 21:23); The Tulabot Group in Yellow- describing the color of gold (Ps. 68:13); The Flancia Group in Green-a symbol of natural growth and life (Eze. 17:24; Isa. 15:6); The Uclaray Group in Comouflage- a soldier uniform; and the Ocampo Group in White-the color of purity, righteousness, heavenly and victory (Ps. 51:7; Matt. 17:2; Rev. 6:2). What a beautiful sight!

We arrived at Oak Lake campground just before the pouring of the heavy rain. A head count of 210 people gathered together inside the huge white Prayer Tent for the welcoming and orientation by Ptr.Imelda Cari, with all our bags, not a single word of complaint was heard. All were inspired as well with the warmth greetings from Ptr. Rose Gonzales.

“Grabe! Ang ganda ng lake!”, people said. And I looked around, I saw faces in awe, in excitement! Finally, they are stepping on the ground that God rewarded His children as a result of their prayers and obedience. Little children’s faces and eyes were well focused on the beautiful lake to the humongous trampoline, pedal boats and kayaks. In their minds, “when are we going to play in the water?”

Finally, before the lunch time, the rain stopped! Amazing how God really moves! He gathered His children in the Prayer Tent for prayers and orientation. God is really in control! Halleluiah!

The love, unity and cooperation were displayed during the setting up of tents. Like one big family working together. Having fun! Taking so much pictures!

No time was wasted! While some were having their fun games, 18 precious people of God were having their water baptism. Oh, to share, even the animals want to be baptized! A water “hog” came swimming in our front that almost got frightened everyone thinking it was a snake! We were laughing hard that we almost forgot that we were doing the “water baptism”.

The big night came. The campground was lighted with a huge bonfire. Cheering and presentations from every group was enjoyable! All were declared winners! Ptr. Bong Gonzales inspired us after with God’s Word. We had so much fun that we do not want to end up the night!

In the quietness of the evening, while inside our tents, we could hear almost everything: the wind blowing the leaves of the trees, even the unexplainable languages heard on different tunes from those who were fast asleep.

God loves His children! Sunday morning, some got up as early as 3:30 a.m. taking showers, preparing breakfast and for the final event of the anniversary celebration. In pajamas and blankets, the campground was filled up with natural beauties. Everything seemed very organized! I myself was amazed! More than 200 people, behaving in camping!

Around 9:00 a.m., children of God started to come out from their tents…in flowers! It looked like Hawaii is in Canada! The day was so gorgeous! Some people were seated and standing both inside and outside the Prayer Tent for the Sunday Service. Ptr. Nicanor “Bong’ Gonzales inspired us again, first with his personalized talk, the message on the “Your Kingdom Come” .

Before the final departure from the campsite, little children as well as their parents and friends requested if they could go for their final dip and swim for the day! And the gate to the lake was opened. No one else seems happier than the little ones. What a wonderful privilege and opportunity to be able to enjoy the goodness of the land because of God’s amazing love!

And by 3:30 p.m., everyone was packed and ready to go home!

We thank God for His marvelous works! We thank God for His mighty, awesome presence on that place! We thank God for all the partners in prayers, in finances and in kind. Truly, as we put our trust in Him, He will do greater things! Many good things happen always to His people as we put our confidence in Him! “But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him”- Jer. 17:7

It is a declaration that indeed, knowing with all our heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord our God gave us has failed. Every promise He has for the JIL people has been fulfilled. Not one has failed. (see Joshua 23:14)

The 17th Anniversary Celebration of the Jesus Is Lord Church, Ontario Chapter is a special one, because not only it is celebrated separately by church group in 6 weekends, it is celebrated also on the combination of a perfect (1) and excellent (7) numbers, and on the 7th month (July). Praise the Lord!
